Language technology has experienced a major boost in the past years. The SELMA project is working on use cases and applications that make life easier in journalism and media production. It addresses research activities and also how research can be applied to real-life scenarios, including media monitoring (in many languages) and media production (e.g. transcription, translation, subtitling and voice-over).
Concretely, SELMA is working on three Use Cases and on six Prototypes demonstrating NLP capabilities.
