Where does the name come from?

SELMA stands for Stream Learning for Multilingual Knowledge Transfer

What is it all about?

It helps media monitoring services to make sense of huge content streams (Big Data Analysis). And it helps journalists and newsrooms to enrich audiovisual output through transcription, translation and subtitling and thus makes it more accessible.

The project builds an open-source, multilingual platform that can process (very) high volumes of content.

Who is funding the project?

SELMA is a European Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Action (grant agreement No 957017).

What is SELMA life cycle?

The project is running from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2023.
