Why are we there?
Peggy van der Kreeft, Innovation Manager at the Deutsche Welle Research and Cooperation Projects is attending the conference. She is one of the invited speakers at the Machine Translation/AI Round Table workshop on 11 July, bringing together members of the localization community who are interested in implementing and opening new frontiers of MT/AI-driven processes in their business, and addressing Human Language Technology (HLT) issues in a highly interactive session. Peggy will address the latest research developments within SELMA including the progress in text to speech translation (TTS).
SELMA is developing an Open Source platform for AI speech and text technologies, including MT models for high and low-resourced languages. It targets at monitoring media and the newsroom.
