What is it?
“The 15th edition of the International Conference on the Computational Processing of Portuguese (PROPOR 2022) will be held at the University of Fortaleza, in Fortaleza, Ceará, in Brazil, from March 21st to March 23rd, 2022. ***Given the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the ômicron variant causing a lot of uncertainty, we have taken the hard decision of moving PROPOR 2022 fully online.”
Why are we there?
Project member Sebastião Miranda from Priberam is at PROPOR 2022. He will show SELMA technology especially for Media Monitoring purposes and presents the Keynote. The title is: Tackling Multilingual Media Monitoring with Natural Language Processing.

SELMA is developing an Open Source platform for AI speech and text technologies, including MT models for high and low-resourced languages. It targets at monitoring media and the newsroom.
